Due to continued growth and success, our client who are a well-established and successful Construction an M&E services provider are currently recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to spearhead, grow and develop their Small Works division on a full time permanent basis.

Job purpose:

This is a brand new position created within the business due to continued growth, reporting directly to the Operations Director you will oversee the operational delivery and development of the business throughout Scotland including client interaction across the portfolio and monitoring of all suppliers and contractors in the delivery of small works.

Key responsibilities:

• Project delivery to existing clients as well as tendered opportunities
• Provide front line support and management to Contracts/Facilities Managers
• Project Management of New Works Projects & Minor Works
• At all times, work to ensure contractual, financial, compliance and Health and Safety Risk is minimised
• Full responsibility for the profit and loss of all contracts under your control, ensure all measures are taken to maximise margins as well as contract revenue streams
• Ensure contractual delivery KPI's are met/exceeded at all times
• Management of Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, Health & Safety at Work Act
• Line Management for Staff

Essential requirements:

• Proven track record of the above requirements
• Held similar role within the Construction/Small Works setting
• Ability to manage P&L
• Proven track record in delivery of multi-site fabric works
• Good problem solving skills.
• Able to demonstrate a strong focus on customer care with excellent communication skills.
• Commercial awareness
