Sheridan Maine are working on an exclusive basis with a successful organisation based in Bournemouth, who due to substantial recent growth, are recruiting for a newly created role of Financial Controller within the business.

Reporting into the Finance Director, the successful candidate will play and integral role in the ongoing development and success of the business. You will be a driven, analytical and forward thinking individual, with the ability to improve and streamline processes in the business and assist in the implementation of a new accounting and payroll system to deliver fast and accurate reporting.

Key Areas of Responsibility will include:
  • Group Budget and Forecasting including presentations to the Board.
  • Assist with the production of Group Statutory accounts and Taxation.
  • Streamlining Financial processes across the Group.
  • Assist with the implementation of a new Accounting and Payroll package into the group.
  • Develop Companywide Business Intelligence integrating the new Accounting system with the inhouse CRM.
  • Reviewing departmental costs whilst working with the executive team to report on variances against budget.
  • Covering for the Finance Director in their absence.
Qualifications and Skills required:
  • A minimum of part qualified ACCA / CIMA with previous financial control and management reporting experience.
  • Strong IT skills, including intermediate level Excel.
  • Ideally with experience of managing newly implemented finance systems and an enthusiasm for continuous improvements in systems and efficiency.
  • The ability to deal with complex financial issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good Financial system skills and solid understanding of accounting software principles.
