A global insurance company is currently recruiting for a Disbursements Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract to cover an internal secondment.

Reporting to the Head of Expense Management the successful applicant will manage a team 5 and be expected to develop, mentor and provide performance feedback to direct reports, drive, facilitate and deliver a customer focused approach to disbursements, collaborate with the wider financial organisation and the business to resolve issues and support the achievement of business goals, manage BAU queries relating to transaction disbursement and purchasing activities, provide high quality commentary on service delivery and change management, review team workloads regularly and escalate any concerns to Head of Expense Management, maintain appropriate policies, procedures and controls to protect company assets, comply with laws across all jurisdictions and comply with the company's authorisation procedures using governance framework and approval database.

Applicants must possess a working knowledge of disbursements, purchasing and associated accounting principles, be able to demonstrate their experience of developing and managing a team and demonstrate strong written and spoken communication skills. Any exposure to the Lawson system would be beneficial but not essential.
