Senior JavaScript Engineer

We are searching for a Senior JavaScript Engineer to play a key role in a product team responsible for a globally adopted React + Redux and Node real-time chat platform.

The Senior JavaScript Engineer will work across the 3 clearly defined parts of system. The React + Redux slack like 'Agent Portal' used by employees at B2B customers to manage thousands of concurrent real-time customer conversations, the public React + Redux chat SPA used by their customers on the other side and the Node/KOA/web sockets messaging layer/APIs that tie the two together.

Although a fully hands-on role you will be heavily involved in all stages of the SDLC and have high-level input in architecture, design and the engineering best practices you follow. All JavaScript here is ES6+, Test Driven using Jest (and snapshot testing) and deployed to production in under 10 mins via a pipeline built on Docker, Jenkins and Kubernetes.

We are looking for any Senior Front End or JavaScript Developer with a background building complex JavaScript applications using any framework want to become accomplished full stack engineers. You'll need to have advanced knowledge of modern approach to CSS for example SASS/LESS via BEM or CSS modules and a strong focused on quality first via TDD/BDD and automation in build, test and deployment.

In return, you will be challenged and supported daily to improve by the 3 other senior engineers in your product team and 14 in total across the business. You will have a genuinely unlimited training budget to further support your development and be able to move across their 4 product teams to ensure you are being consistently challenged and learning new things.
