Job Title: Chef Assessor / Trainer

Location: Covering Central / West London – Must be flexible with travel

Salary: 
Trainee: £22,500 + £2600 Location Allowance
Qualified: £25,500 + £2600 Location Allowance

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chef / Head Chef / Chef Manager who enjoys training and developing others.

- Hold solid occupational experience as a Chef (Professional Cookery environment). 
- Ideally have previous experience of delivering on-the-job training to colleagues within a Hospitality environment. 

Duties include:

- Deliver full Apprenticeship frameworks in Professional Cookery - Back of House related qualifications to levels 2/3.
- Managing a caseload of learners and to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
- Visiting/observing learners in their place of work to gather evidence towards their Apprenticeship/QCF qualifications.
- Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
- Support, advise and motivate learners.
- Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet specific needs.
- Assessors are expected to take part in Learner Recruitment to maintain own caseload.
- Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.

Essential Criteria:

- Must hold solid occupational experience as a Chef (Professional Cookery environment)
- Ideally (not essential) hold own level 3 qualification in Professional Cookery (or equivalent)
- Confident with Maths and English (grades C or above – or Key/Functional Skills at level 2)
- Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively
- Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
- Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners
- Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels
- Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle
- Must be flexible with travel

Desirable Criteria:

- Recognised Assessor award: D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA
