I am currently recruiting for a permanent Asset Management Surveyor for a major London based Housing association.

As a qualified Building Surveyor your main function will be to support the Contract Operations Manager to deliver responsive repairs and planned maintenance work to customers in their homes.

Professionally supported by the Professional Services Manager you will provide building consultancy services to the client who manages a range of property tenures, primarily residential but including some commercial property.

You will deliver standard technical specifications, advise on new developments, and capture information on new acquisitions.

You will provide high quality technical surveying assessments and/or advice and/or reports on major repairs / defects / latent defects, cyclical maintenance works / FRA / EPCs and any other contracted works.

You will oversee responsive repairs works to enable improvements to the planned maintenance programmes.

You will carry out annual stock condition surveys in consultation with the Planning and Performance team.

You will validate / pre-inspect work / specifications / variations to complex repairs and planned maintenance works to ensure works are carried out to the required standard.

You will carry out post-inspections to assure completed works were carried out / necessary and have been completed to the required quality standard as specified in the contract.

You will have a BSc / MSc in Surveying as well as an understanding of using Contract documents such as JCT / NEC.

Ideally you will also be a member of RICS or CIOB
