We require aspiring or experienced Care Assistants/Support Workers to cover the Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell and Birmingham areas. The ideal candidate(s) must be reliable, passionate, honest and flexible. Duties will include providing support to clients within nursing, residential and individual home settings.

Experience
Experience in these roles is desirable but not necessary as full training will be provided. Duties and Responsibilities:
• To provide personal care and support to service users with a wide range of needs, illnesses and disabilities
• To undertake the tasks detailed in the service user’s care and support plan using a person-centred approach and in the least intrusive way
• To encourage independence and motivation
• To assist service user in getting up in the morning, daily duties and going to bed
• To assist service user with personal care, dressing and showering, continence and personal hygiene
• To assist with their medication if required in accordance with their Medication Care Needs Assessment
• To prepare food and drink for the service user, being aware of his/her choice, likes/dislikes, nutritional needs and cultural requirements as detailed in care plan
• Providing general household domestic duties, including housework and laundry
• To use manual handling equipment safely
• To take responsibility for the safe handling of property and equipment belonging to the service user
• To maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with the service user
• To provide companionship to the service user including actively talking and listening to them about their interests
• To accompany the service user on trips into the community when necessary
• To maintain a safe living environment whilst respecting the service user’s choice and rights
