Do you have residential experience in a Supervisory role within the Children's sector?

Are you looking to take the next step in your career?

If the answer is YES then look no further - this FANTASTIC opportunity could be for you!

BS Social Care is a national organisation, specialising in the recruitment of professionals within the Health and Social Care sector. We are currently working alongside a specialist provider of residential Childcare and Education services in their recruitment of an experienced Senior Residential Children's Worker.

You will join a highly reputable Health and Social Care provider who have gained significant reward and recognition from external organisations such as OFSTED for the level of care they deliver. They deliver independent care and support for children and young adults with autism and social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

The Senior role is to support the Registered Home Manager in providing the best quality childcare in a safe and care focussed environment for the young people. When on shift you will have initial responsibilities for monitoring and supervision of staff and take responsibility for the day to day management, and guidance of colleagues whilst ensuring the welfare and care of the young people.

The service itself is a lovely independent children's home set in the middle of the countryside. It offers short, medium, long term and emergency care for up to 4 young people aged between 8 to 17 years with emotional and behavioural difficulties and challenging behaviour.

You will further be responsible for delivering childcare that is focussed on obtaining the best outcomes for each child and young person within the home. You will be expected to demonstrate practical leadership in childcare, as well as organise and support staff to provide the best possible care for each child and young person. This involves being personally available, as well as the supervision and mentoring of staff, organisation of work patterns, facilitation of care focussed training, and accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within the home.

The successful candidate will have:

- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Leadership & Management or Health & Social Care

- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar, senior role supporting children & young adults with SEBD and challenging behaviour

- At least 2 years experience working in a similar setting within residential care
