PE Global Healthcare are acting on behalf of our client, a major provider of mental health and neuro-rehabilitation hospital services across the South East.
We are looking for a registered Qualified Social Worker to work in a part-time permanent position within a Multi-Disciplinary Team in a low secure hospital and/or locked intensive rehabilitation unit in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex. You will be working with service users who have a severe and enduring mental health problem, who may also have challenging behaviour or a forensic history. The vacancy is for 22.5 hours per week over 3 days.
Functioning as part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), this role will have clinical responsibility for in-patients whilst providing support to patients and their families by a range of aspects (through treatment and rehabilitation) during their stay at the Centre. The role will also have responsibility for safeguarding issues, training and function within the Care Programme Approach.
Education / Qualifications
Degree / Diploma in Social Work
Certificate of Qualification in Social Work or General Social Care Council validated equivalent
Knowledge & Experience

Experience of working with service users in mental health or forensic settings who may present with challenging behaviours.
Knowledge of legislation relevant to social work practice, under the MHA, MCA, DOL Safeguards, SOVA, Community Care Act and Children Act.
Assessment skills for social work or mental health interventions.
Computer skills, including basic word processing.
Ability to present at training seminars
Up to date knowledge and fit to practice safely.
