Are you currently in an Assistant Manager position within the hospitality industry and looking for a new challenge? If so my client which is an established restaurant and wedding venue are looking for a hands on Assistant manager to lead and develop the team.

As Assistant Manager you key responsibilities will be to make sure employees perform a variety of tasks, from preparing the food, stocking supplies, serving, charging people for their food, cleaning tables and counters, resetting tables, greeting customers and answering questions. You will need to take responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant, analyse and plan restaurant sales levels and profitability. This role will also include the following responsibilities:

Prepare reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and sales;
Create and execute plans for department sales, profit and staff development;
Set budgets or agree them with senior management;
Plan and coordinate menus;
Coordinate the operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts;
Recruit, train, manage and motivate staff;
Respond to customer queries and complaints;
Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety;
Check stock levels, order supplies and prepare cash drawers and petty cash.
