Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Release Coordinator to join the number one global insurance brand and worldwide leader in financial service, AXA Insurance based in either our Ipswich or Bolton office.

As the Release Coordinator you will ensure that releases are kept to schedule and that they are released consistently and smoothly. During the full release life-cycle you will be responsible for coordinating new entries into a release, monitoring release progress at daily stand-ups, managing release issues, measuring the effectiveness of releases and identifying and implementing improvements to the release process.



What you will be doing

Your main responsibilities are

• Responsible for overall release planning & liaison with the key contacts to deliver the agreed functionality to the agreed timescales

• Responsible for regularly reviewing release progress against plans and identifying and resolving non project resource conflicts


• Responsible for regularly reviewing release content and scope to identify any increase in risk or impact and any issues relating to the release as a whole


• Responsible for managing release status communications with AXA Insurance key stakeholders


• Responsible for defining, documenting and communicating the release process to the release stakeholders


• Responsible for reflecting on the outcome s of a release and identifying, delivering and communicating resulting

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following -

Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience and/ or relevant IT qualification

Skills, Experience & Knowledge
• Previous experience with proven track record of project/release management in large projects / programmes / releases following an Agile delivery approach

• Accredited at foundation level and making progress towards/have attained practitioner level in a PM or Change qualification (e.g. Prince2 practitioner, ITIL, ISEB, APMP,ISO,CMMI)

• Proven decision making ability

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong stakeholder management

• Expert understanding of end to end IT solutions and the IT delivery life-cycle

• Experience of Agile practices

• Strong attention to detail and quality

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Good administrative and organisational skills

• Ability to work on multiple simultaneous tasks and able to work in a team or on your own

• Ability to quickly learn new technologies, skills and methodologies
