Our client a popular Garden Centre restaurant in near Guildford, Surrey are currently looking to recruit a Coffee Shop/ Restaurant Manager. This is an established cafe within a family owned business and has been open for the past 12 years.

This is a 60 seat Coffee Shop currently- that will be extending to 90 covers from August onwards following an upcoming extension. There is also an additional outdoor area serving teas, coffees, homemade cakes, sandwiches and hot food.

Your role as Coffee Shop manager will be to coach and develop a diverse team to deliver outstanding results. You will be an experienced Manager with the ability to train and inspire the staff to continue to raise service standards to a consistent and high standard. There is a complete team of 20 staff including casuals and 2 chefs in the kitchen producing fresh simple menus from scratch daily, and including afternoon tea service.

The client is particularly interested in recruiting an experienced manager that could help to enhance the present offering within the cafe. Areas of development and expertise to include the following:
-Managing costs/ labour/ GP liasing with the chefs on site
-Menu Planning
-Incorporating training programmes with the staff
-Managing H&S requirements

As the Coffee Shop Manager you will have a high level of organisational skills and have a strong attention to detail with an ability to take autonomy in running a business and have complete understanding of profit margin, stock management and health legislation and procedures.

As you would expect in such a role, superb people management and interpersonal skills are essential.

This Coffee Shop Manager is a full-time position, however with the benefit of including alternate weekends and daytime hours.

This position offers an excellent salary and good working hours.
