Are you a dynamic procurement professional looking to take the next step in your career, Procurement People are proud to be working with a global telecommunications business that are looking to add a Procurement Specialist to their successful team which will have a focus on their core area of spend SIMs and Vouchers. The successful candidate will help the business and supports the Procurement Manager for their largest area of spend.

Responsibilities you will have include:

• Responsible for the capture of country demands/forecasts and priorities for the category of products and management of procurement from supply contracts with global manufacturers and/or service providers

• Ensure delivery schedules are met according to internal customers' requirements and for the best price and value

• Work closely with internal customers to understand their requirements including changes to priorities and specifications and manage these requirements through Supply Partners,

• Make change recommendations to internal stakeholders that achieve lower total cost and improve supply chain/operational efficiencies

• Act as main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for Procurement

• Follow processes to ensure data accuracy and compliance with data protection and internal requirements

• Responsible for exchanging accurate information, building rapport, influencing and expert procurement advice to internal customers

• Undertaking commercial negotiations for new products/product changes with suppliers

As the successful Procurement Specialist you will have…

• Experience in the Telecoms industry – Highly Desirable but not essential

• Experience within a purchasing or supply chain management function and/or logistics

• Capability to quickly learn business requirements, supply chain set up and dynamics and execute rapidly to a high standard of quality and accuracy

• Ability to multi-task, work and complete tasks efficiently under minimum supervision, tight time constraints, and periodic high volume circumstances

• Experience of developing monthly procurement/reporting tools

• Highly computer literate and proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel

• Proven problem solving/analytical ability

• Effective stakeholder management/influencing skills

• Able to make decisions and assume ownership

• Strong attention to details, excellent organization skills – ‘hands-on' operator

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Comfortable in commercial negotiations
