Rate: Up to 15.50p/h (Ltd/Umb)

Location: Sudbury

Hours: Day shift (monday - Friday)
Duration: 6 months (then on-going / potential to go permanent)

Working for one of the UK's leading medical manufactures I am looking for maintenance Engineers with mechanical and electrical experience to work in the Consumables department providing technical support ensuring the pouch and wet reagent filling processes meet the requirements of the production plan, ensuring equipment up time is maximised through planning of maintenance and repairs

You day to day role
You will be responsibility for the successful operation and maintenance of the pouch reactors, pouch fillers and associated equipment. To ensure supplies are maintained of appropriate spares expected to be required during routine operation of the Pouch reactors, bag fillers, and associated equipment. This to also be true for all wet reagent filling lines.

To organize, and assist with, routine equipment maintenance in accordance with the supplier's recommendations and scope of service contracts on the major capital equipment within the area. To ensure compliance with M&C system requirements and due dates. Applies to Reagents, UDC and Pouches .

QMS - Update of operating procedures for equipment within the area if required. To ensure equipment validation requirements are up to date and not compromised by subsequent maintenance or repair. To work with Quality group to successfully plan and complete equipment validations as/when required.

To assist CIP teams that drive productivity improvements within relevant production cells, whilst working closely with the Continuous Improvement department to gain insight in to tools and techniques to improve effectiveness and timescales of projects.

To comply with and support the Health, Safety and Environment statements, policies and procedures as well as ensuring that all H&S audits are carried out accordingly as well as annual assessments. To investigate any EHS incident raised within the area to drive to a Zero Harm culture.

What I am looking for:

* Production equipment engineering background. Filling and pressurised equipment advantageous.
* Multi-skilled Engineer - mechanically or electrically bias
* Experience in an Medical/Pharmaceutical/FMCG/Food environment.
* Structured and practical engineering training e.g. apprenticeship/HNC/Degree.
* Knowledge, experience, fault finding ability.
* Strong experience in continuous improvement and preventative maintenance.
* Knowledge of IT systems (Inc. MS Office & SAP).
* Ability to work in a safe manner and considers the safety of others.
* A strong team player as well as the ability to work on your own initiative.
