The Role: As a Branch Manager / Supervisor, you will be responsible for the planning, directing and coordinating of the equipment operations at a depot in Cambridge, effectively selling and delivering our industrial products to customers throughout Cambridgeshire and East Anglia area in order to exceed company sales targets.

This is a varied role encompassing, fundamentally the daily management of the equipment operations and personnel as well as visiting potential customers in order to promote and demonstrate our products effectively. Supported by a dedicated Sales Representative, you will also help to convert leads into sales and forge strong, long-lasting relationships to ensure repeat business.

As a Branch Manager / Supervisor, you must have previous supervisory experience, possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to manage and organise the team to meet operational needs. Significantly you must be able to deal efficiently with people management issues, as and when they arise as well as establishing relationships and communicating effectively with colleagues, managers, customers and suppliers.

Your responsibilities will also include:

- To abide by the current Safety, Health and Environment.
- Direct and coordinate activities of the depot concerned with production, sales, or distribution of products.
- Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement
- Identify areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
- Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
- Effect an efficient and satisfactory supply and service to customers and other departments, of the company.
- Provide assistance to the sales manager and sales team to help them achieve the Company`s sales and profit targets.
- Be responsible for achieving the Company`s sales and profit targets for the area.
- Satisfactory operation of the Company`s purchasing and stock control system.
- Operate within the guidelines as defined by the Company`s BS EN ISO 9001:2000 Quality Assurance System at all times.
- Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes.

The Candidate. It is essential to have:-

- Previous management or supervisory experience.
- Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
- A good standard of health and fitness.
- A full EU driving licence.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems.
- The ability to communicate using emails and word processing.
- Good telephone manner.

- Monitoring and assessing the performance of yourself and your staff to make improvements or take corrective action.

- Coordinating the work and activities of others and getting members of a group to work together to accomplish tasks.
- Scheduling events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.
- Monitoring and controlling resources and overseeing the spending of money.
- Communicating with people outside the Company, representing the Company to customers, the public, government, and other external sources
