Credit Risk Analyst – Insurance – Up to £60k

Our Client is one of the top 10 insurers of the Lloyds insurance market, who write premiums in excess of £2 Billion.  My clients are part of a wider group that have assets close to $100 Billion.

Salary - £55,000 - £65,000
Location - London (Commutable stations include Aldgate, Bank, Monument, Liverpool Street)

The main purpose of this role will be to perform Credit checks on new companies (brokers, coverholders and sometimes suppliers) using external ratings (Experian, CreditSafe, etc.) and an internal model.

The main responsibilities of this role will be to approve companies that meet predefined criteria and monitor those companies that have already been approved (approx. 3,000 records). Also where clients do not meet requirements, further information will be collected to make an informed decision about how to proceed. The results are recorded in the Watertrace system (BDX).

This role currently reports directly to the Head of Credit Management.
You may have previous experience in a similar role and/or understand trustee/client money rules mainly in the UK.

To be considered for this role, you will be a qualified accountant or similar qualifications (degree in accounting for instance), Strong working knowledge of Excel and Knowledge of using 3rd party credit systems like D&B, Creditsafe, Experian.

You may have experience or a keen interest in Credit Risk Analysts, Risk Analyst, Credit Analyst, Underwriter & Portfolio Analyst, Financial Analyst, Actuarial Analyst, Lloyds of London, Syndicate, Lloyds Minimum standards and CIMA, ACCA, OR CFA.
