How would you like to come and work for us as an HR Business Partner for volunteers?

We are looking for an exceptional individual who can help influence and shape volunteering across the organisation. We want staff and volunteers to work seamlessly alongside each other and be equally valued for their respective contribution. This will mean working closely with our leaders and managers to capture the true potential of volunteers in making a difference to the people we support directly or through our Income generation activity. We are looking to recruit somebody who has experience with influencing, supporting and coaching others in volunteer management and leadership as well as a sound knowledge of volunteering best practice.

The role will include responsibilities in the following areas:

* Volunteering Strategy
* Ensuring our volunteers are recruited, supported, managed and recognised appropriately
* Coaching leaders and managers
* Relationship building so that we achieve 'one workforce'
* Raising the profile of volunteering opportunities within the community and supporting the development of new roles within the Hospice

Salary: Band 6 (£26,830 - £35,933 per annum)

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Essential Requirements:

* Managing volunteers
* Organising and delivering training
* Organising events
* Managing projects
* Chairing meetings
* Writing strategy documents and project plans
* Presenting to large groups
* Policy and legislation relating to volunteer involvement
* Good practice standards in volunteer involvement
* Understanding of volunteer recruitment methods and local opportunities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent time management
* Excellent interpersonal skills

Additional Salary Information: Pension Scheme (7% employer contribution) and minimum 27 Days holiday.
