Great opportunity for a Senior Process Engineer to join an award-winning design and engineering company on a permanent basis, located in Manchester. The selected Senior Process Engineer with have specific responsibilities and objectives to ensure the delivery of successful projects, they will include:

* Providing support to the sales and proposals department
* Carrying out design and concept studies
* Programme preparation of man hour estimates, control and monitoring
* Carrying out process design work including process descriptions, hazardous area assessments, detail process design calculations, design concept and layout development etc.
* Approval and checking of all process design work on allocated projects
* Creating presentations for clients on process design or concept issues
* Ensuring operation aspects of designs are correct and understood by other disciplines (control and instrumentation in particular)

Essential skills, experience and attributes:

* Degree in Chemical or Biochemical engineering, CEng, MIChemE
* Extensive experience within the engineering and design industry
* Experience with process engineering design in the contracting environment
* Process engineering design experience in the pharmaceutical industry
* PC literate

Desirable:

* Member of ISPE
* Member of the Nuclear Institute
* Operating experience in the primary/secondary pharmaceutical, biotechnology or batch fine chemical industry
* Experience with environmental projects
* HAZOP study leadership
* Experience with rick assessments and hazard analysis
