We are looking for a Head of Communications to help deliver the vision of London Business School by overseeing the work of our communications team and providing top-level strategic support to the Associate Dean, Marketing and Communications.

Deliver a winning communications strategy

As the Head of Communications, you will bring together experience and ability to shape a game-changing marketing and communications strategy for London Business School that incorporates corporate communications, brand management, and campaign management. Working closely with the Associate Dean, Marketing and Communications, and overseeing a small team, you will play an integral role in developing a clear and engaging voice for London Business School.

You will help support our success by:

- Ensuring the Communications team is working efficiently and effectively
- Working at a strategic level with the Associate Dean and other senior LBS staff
- Planning future communications strategies and preparing us for the future with insightful forward thinking
- Monitoring developments in the organisation as well as external factors with the aim of enabling the School to anticipate lines of enquiry and to prepare key messages and statements as required
- Maintaining and developing stakeholder engagement (internally and externally )
- Promoting the School across a range of audiences

What we are looking for

- Experience working in a top-level communications role
- A high standard of database, IT and literacy skills
- Confidence communicating, influencing and negotiating at all levels
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage and lead people effectively
- Proficient in evaluating complex arguments or sensitive situations, taking account of different inputs and taking decisions in a timely manner
- Sharp attention to detail and strong organisational and time-management skills
- An understanding of the higher education sector is advantageous but not essential
