Entry Criteria

2:2 of above degree in Physics
GCSE’s A-C in English, Maths and Science
Some Teaching Assistant or Youth Work Experience would be desired but not essential!

As a Physics Trainee Teacher upon the Premier Pathways Programme, you will begin your development as a Teaching Assistant for 2 terms, performing numerous general duties across the school. Given the chance to gain confidence and advance their teaching ability in this first stage, the Trainee Teacher will undoubtedly be prepared to undertake responsibility by the third term of the programme.

As the Physics Trainee Teacher becomes more effective at planning and delivering lessons within the second year of the programme, they will begin to adopt 80% of a teacher timetable.

Assessed by the University of Buckingham at this final phase, the Trainee Teacher will be granted their PGCE with QTS, becoming a fully-fledged educational professional.
