Job Title: Reducing Reoffending Worker - Housing
Location: Rochester, Kent
Hourly Rate: £11.16 per hour, 40 hours per week

Protocol is pleased to be working alongside Nacro, a social justice charity who helps vulnerable people to change their lives and reach their full potential by addressing social exclusion, inequality of opportunity and deprivation. They design and deliver services that equip people with the skills, advice, attitude and support they need to move their lives on and to become part of their community. Their services cover education, housing, substance misuse treatment and the prevention of reoffending.

The role of Reducing Re-offending Worker will be to provide pre-release information advice and guidance to offenders in regards to their housing options and support them to source and obtain suitable housing placements. Interventions are to be delivered via group and individual sessions, according to need.

Help reduce the incidence of re-offending through the use of pathway interventions, an engaged, collaborative and motivational style and a focus on Community Re-integration and the principles of Desistance.

The successful candidate will support service users across the region, who have offended, to successfully resettle into the community following release from prison.

This role will be working Monday to Friday from 9am - 5pm with the possibility of occasional evening work. The contract is for initially 6 months with the possibility of extending.

Suitable candidates will meet the following criteria:
* Demonstrable experience of delivering on support contracts.
* Working familiarity with the Reducing Reoffending Pathways and specific experience of providing information, advice and guidance to offenders or ex-offenders in regards to housing
* Experience of achieving and evidencing outcomes against performance targets.
* Experience of developing rapport with Service Users whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
* Experience of using IT information systems.

If successful, you will need to go through Prison Security Clearance, this procedure takes approximately 2 - 4 weeks. You will also be required to have a fully enhanced DBS.
