Lead Occupational Therapist
An exciting opportunity has arisen in a well established school for young people aged 7-25 with learning disabilities for an Occupational Therapist to Lead a team working for a fantastic local charity based in Brighton, East Sussex.
This reputable charity support children and young people aged 11-26 years old who have complex learning disabilities including Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), Asperger`s syndrome and behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (BESD).
This is a challenging and exciting position in which you will lead the OT service and supervise the other members of the OT team. You will be responsible for overseeing and organising the therapy provision for a complex caseload of service users. You will deliver support and intervention through training, advice and direct contact with individuals and groups.
To be considered for this role you will need to be HPC registered. Ideally you will have experience of working with children and young people with a range of diagnoses. Training in sensory intergration to level 1 and AMPs is also desirable. We are looking for someone who is dynamic and thrives on teamwork and enjoys working collaboratively. You will need excellent interpersonal skills and have a flexible approach.
This role is full time (40 hours a week) and you will be required to work across two sites in East Sussex; Brighton and Seaford. Benefits associated with this role include full support, training and development opportunities as well as health and pension schemes.
