Genesis owns or manages around 33,000 homes across London, the South East and East of England, and has a turnover of over £406m. We have a property portfolio with a market value of £7.27bn (£5.1bn in London). We provide a full range of housing options and services, from temporary housing to rented homes, homes for sale and supported housing.

We have an ambitious growth and investment programme, with plans to build nearly 10,000 houses and flats over the next ten years. With 1,500 units currently on site, we will double this next year and we will have invested in over 5,000 new homes in the next five years. We also have several major regeneration projects and a strategic partnership with the GLA. In the meantime, we are actively buying more sites, adding to our land-bank worth £100m. Our sales program will increase, from 500 homes in each of the next two years, up to 1,000 homes per year within three years.

This is an exciting time to join Genesis as we roll out our new development programme, and we are recruiting for 2 New Business Managers to join our Development Team to support our plans - both roles based at our Head Office in Camden.

This opportunity will see you identify new business prospects and prepare detailed business cases. These may range from traditional land acquisitions to joint venture partnerships, involving institutional investors and public sector land owners. You will prepare reports for internal and board approval on new opportunities, ensuring the strategic requirements are met.

Beyond the day-to-day, you will prepare and submit bids for private and large scale public sector land and regeneration opportunities. Working closely with an experienced team of New Business Managers, a Bid Manager and Head of New Business, you will support the development and implementation of strategic business plans.

We are looking for experienced candidates with energy and drive to achieve results. A proven track record of securing new business opportunities is essential. This role requires an individual that can demonstrate strong report writing and the ability to carry out complex financial appraisals, experience of leading multi -disciplinary teams to prepare planning application and lead land purchase negotiations. With a good understanding of the whole development process for mixed use, mixed tenure schemes. We are looking for a strategic and organised New Business Manager that can negotiate and establish strong working relationships both internally and externally.
