Working closely alongside the Financial Director and Accounts Assistant, this is a new pivotal role where you will take responsibility in the general accounting lifecycle. The role will be particularly well suited to a commercially minded, dynamic individual who enjoys process improvement, system implementation and quality financial reporting (both management and statutory).

Key responsibilities of the role to include:

• Manage all accounting operations including accounts payable, credit control, cost accounting and balance sheet movements
• Timely preparation of monthly financial statements ready for reviewing with the FD
• General upkeep and performance improvements to the accounting systems and processes
• Working with retail and cost centre managers to achieve and review KPI’s
• Weekly/ monthly sales reconciliation and monthly posting
• Ensuring Origin remains compliant with FCA regulation
• Production of monthly VAT reconciliations ready for quarterly submission
• Collating monthly retail payroll
• Credit control
• Fixed asset reporting
• Overseeing daily bank reconciliations across all company bank accounts
• Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts

The successful candidate will have:

• AAT Qualified or Bachelors degree in a finance related subject
• At least 3 years’ accounts experience
• Comfortable in a fast paced, rapid growth environment
• An excellent communicator with very strong commercial awareness
• High levels of attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
• Experience with Xero is desirable
