Salary: £53,000- £58,000

As a Programme & Implementation Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that you lead large to complex projects in line with the project management methodology to achieve successful project delivery Implementing consulting projects and supply chain solutions for new and existing LLP accounts managing the implementation of strategic and tactical LLP supply chain optimization projects.

Key Responsibilities in this role will include;

Manage the overall planning, control, status reporting, stability and project delivery
Obtain feedback from all stakeholders at critical milestones to ensure that project efforts meet customer expectations
Manage changing scope and project acceptance criteria
Control resources, revenue and capital costs against project budgets
Establish quality reviews and reporting structures inside the project team and review performance of project team members
Support the dedicated customer teams in implementing projects to drive value through gain share.
Projects delivered on time, on budget, within scope and within agreed quality standards and to the customers satisfaction
Support the development of the project management strategy and deploy strategic project management initiatives
Manage the overall planning, control, status reporting, stability and delivery of large / complex projects (multi area or product) to ensure that project goals and objectives are met within agreed upon time, scope, budget and resource requirements
Drive the resolution of conflicts and issues
Challenge scope changes to ensure benefit realisation
Own the budget of the project and performance against the business case to ensure benefit realisation
Function as a subject matter expert in area where the project manager has expertise (e.g. automation, specific IT systems, inventory control etc) to support the tender processes
Build strong working relationships and ensure delivery of appropriate communication to all stakeholders
Obtain feedback from all stakeholders at critical milestones to ensure project efforts meet customer expectations
Manage project and commercial risks and mitigation plans and ensure these risks are proactively communicated
Responsible for managing and governing the DePICT project management methodology and risk management process
Act as a champion within project delivery for deploying project management and risk management standards, policies, training and development
Conduct health checks and quality management reviews to review performance, identifying points of risk and making recommendations for improvements that lead to risk minimisation and successful project delivery
Deliver best practice project documentation, completed to quality standards, kept upto date, available throughout the project and maintained in the project database
Lead the application ACT change management methodology and approach
Contribute and approve business cases and challenge the benefit realisation
Review project portfolio performance against the business cases and implement action plans to ensure benefit realisation
Deploy a health and safety culture
Deploy previous lessons learnt output and feedback to drive continuous improvement
Promote and support changes to continuously improve project management in alignment with international project management trends
Work with project sponsors and stakeholders to forecast project resources and SME's required to support sales efforts and deliver the business benefits
Support the development of the project management community and implement the people management strategy to deliver business benefits through: skills assessment, training programmes, processes and toolsets
Coach and mentor career levels 1 to 3 to success

Key skills and experience in this role will include:

7+ years experience in logistics
DHL DePICT or other project management methodology
DHL ACT or other change management methodology
DHL DMAIC process improvement methodology
5+ years experience in project and programme management roles
5+ years experience in operational management roles
Ability to lead and manage a cross country, multicultural team
Ability and flexibility to work in multiple countries
University degree
Professional project management certification e.g. IPMA Level C (Level B if required), PMI PgMP, Prince 2 Practitioner, Managing Successful Programmes, Management of Portfolios
