We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at our Accolade Park site in Bristol which employs over 500 people. Our Bristol site houses the largest bottling plant in the Northern Hemisphere bottling up to 1 million bottles of wine per day. We are investing £3 million into our Bristol site and have some exciting and innovative projects underway.

About the role
We are an innovative organisation and our philosophy and vision for excellence in manufacturing is built on a LEAN foundation that is customised specifically for Accolade Wines. You’ll work alongside highly skilled and disciplined colleagues operating a high performing production line.
This is a varied role and you’ll get to use your engineering skills across three different areas: Bag in a box (wine box), bottling (each of our lines fills 400 bottles per minute) and utilities.
Reporting to our Packaging Engineering Manager you will work over 4 different 12 hour shift patterns including nights and weekends with no more than 5 shifts in a row.
It’s an exciting time to join us as we continue to invest in our Bristol site and diversify into spirits. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating assigned equipment and plant ensuring optimum line performance is achieved
- Ensuring all product quality standards are met
- Supporting and assisting in relation to all quality matters and testing
- Proactively operating within our LEAN philosophy ensuring continuous improvements across all areas are achieved
- Identifying and rectifying root causes of running faults within the machinery including improvements and annual overhauls
- Overhaul and Inspection of rotational maintenance parts
- Updating and improving maintenance tasks using computer based maintenance system
You will be an experienced engineer with a qualification in an electrical subject (apprentice served, NVQ, HNC or equivalent). Ideally you will have a maintenance background within FMCG with first class electrical skills. Ability to read engineering drawings: electrical, pneumatic and mechanical. Knowledge or skills of 17th Edition and Allen-Bradley diagnostics would be beneficial. You won’t be afraid to get your hands dirty, this is not just about maintenance, you’ll operate our state of the art machinery too (including 3 new Krones bottling lines).
You’ll have knowledge/ experience of working with controls, analysing faults and providing solutions. In addition, experience of preventative maintenance, reporting and documenting.
We also have an enviable engineering workshop.
