Principal Enforcement officer (Planning)

Are you a planning Enfocment officer, as I am looking to recruit for a North London Borough and they are currently looking to recruit for an Enforcement officer (Senior/Prinicipal level) to assist on an initial 3 month contract view to extend.

The suitable candidate would need to have a good working knowledge of the UK planning system, ideally within Enforcement. The case load of work is varied as there would be large case load of existing applications and some back log as part of the contract.

The office is a short walk from main transport links and is easily accessible from all areas in London

The client advised they are looking for the suitable candiate to investigate and resolve difficult, high profile and significant breaches of legislation, affecting the borough by operating across traditional boundaries. You will be required to carry out investigations into planning complaints and appeals and make recommendations on appropriate further action. This will require the monitoring of compliance with abatement notices, stop notices, enforcement notices, breach of condition notices, section 215 notices and producing witness statements for the service of summonses. In additional as a principal officer you will provide advice and guidance to colleges and support the team leader.

The client is flexible on rate and is looking at a rate between £26- £32.50; could be negotiated for the right candidate

The client is looking to shortlist, interview and start as soon as possible; should this position be of interest; please forward your up to date CV to me
