We have a new and exciting opportunity for an IT Manager based from our offices in Salford. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the management of the IT service desk team and all customer incidents or logged service requests. You will also manage all third-party provider relationships and assist with the infrastructure administration and technical development projects aligned with organisational priorities and goals.
We are looking for an experienced manager with a strong customer focus. Our IT team is small and the main focus is on managing the service desk team, providing responsive customer support and maintaining an efficient and reliable system infrastructure in partnership with external providers.

As the team is small, we need a manager who is as comfortable spending time with the board as they are rolling their sleeves up to support individual customer needs. As many of the team's internal customers are based in the field, some needing significant support to develop their IT skills, a flexible approach and some site based visits may be required.

Key responsibilities of our IT Manager:

* Day to day management of the service desk team
* Management of all customer incidents and service requests including excalations
* Identifying opportunities / risks
* Overseeing the administration of Active Directory, Office 365 and other Excalon Applications
* Assisting with website maintenance and ongoing development, systems analysis and design

Hours of Work
Your working hours will be 8am to 5pm working within the operational working window of 7am to 5.30 pm. Some flexibility will be required to work outside of these hours to ensure the business is supported at all times. Some out of hours and weekend work may be required due to the nature of the business.

Applicants must have the following skills and experience:
Essential Skills
* Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience
* 2 years commercial experience in a similar role
* ITIL v3 Qualification or experience
* Active Directory administration in an Asure synchronised environment
* Proficient in Windows 7-10 OS fault finding and troubleshooting.

Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of:
* Server, Network, Firewall and Switch administration
* Remote Monitoring and Management Systems experience
* Mobile Workforce Solutions
* Microsoft Dynamics
* Safe working techniques
