PE Global Healthcare are acting on behalf of our client, a major provider of mental health and neuro-rehabilitation hospital services across the South East.
We are looking for a Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse RMN or RNLD with current NMC registration and PIN to work as a member of a Multi-Disciplinary Team within a low secure hospital and/or locked intensive rehabilitation unit in the Croydon are. You will be working with service users who have severe and enduring mental health problems, who may also have challenging behaviour or a forensic history.
The Successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 months experience as a Grade D in an Acute, PICU, Rehab CAMHS or Forensic mental health setting, and be able to provide:
• Evidence of continuing professional development and experience in caring for service users who exhibit challenging behaviour.

• Evidence of post registration study
• Evidence of current training in the Prevention and Management of Violence, De-escalation or Working with Challenging behaviour

• Minimum of 6 months experience as a D Grade in the following Mental health settings- Acute, PICU, Rehab, CAMHS, Forensic
• Working with the CPA process

Required skills & Knowledge:

• Able to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within an MDT
• Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care using evidence based approaches
• A demonstrable knowledge of risk assessment and risk management
• Working knowledge of the NMC code of conduct
• Working knowledge of MHA (1983) and other relevant legislation applicable to Mental health
• Able to prioritise workload and delegate appropriately
• Ability to supervise and teach qualified and unqualified Staff

• Demonstrate a commitment to Equality and Diversity
• Willingness to engage in supervision and reflective practice

• Competitive annual salary, basedon £16.50 per hour PAYE
