Our client, a leading building materials manufacturer, are currently recruiting for an Internal Sales Executive for their Reading office.

This role is responsible for pro-actively producing and generating business opportunities and sales leads for the sales team to sell interior products and services into the construction and property industry.

You will focus on new business generation using the primary and secondary leads provided. You will manage a portfolio of projects with a field sales counterpart and will support all field sales activities to ensure that the client base is provided with literature, product samples and excellent service.


* Proactively producing and generating new business opportunities for the sales team and working closely with them to ensure that sales portfolios are kept up to date and accurate
* Managing a pipeline of future sales opportunities, ensuring that contact is made with the various stakeholders at the relevant time
* Responsible for updating and managing projects from start to finish
* Using the telephone and other business tools to contact professionals within the construction & property sectors with the aim of promoting products and services
* Become an expert in any given region that you are allocated, as well as the construction and property industry
* Providing support to the sales team, to ensure that the client base is provided with relevant literature, product samples and high-quality service
* Dealing with incoming technical queries and offering technical support
* Gain a working knowledge of the product range, project history and a general understanding of the construction industry
* Logged and managed all project and customer activities on the database. The database should be kept to a high degree of accuracy at all times
* Manage their own workload, time and portfolio and is able to produce what is expected of them in the appropriate fashion
* Over time, the Internal Sales Executive would gain the necessary experience to both support and manage entire sales portfolios for the region


* A graduate, ideally in a business or marketing subject.
* 1-2 years of B2B marketing or sales experience would be highly beneficial
* Experience of providing customer service
* An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, able to articulate complex ideas effectively
* A pro-active and enthusiastic individual
* Highly self-motivated
* Confident, with a high level of personal resilience
* Ability to develop relationships at all levels
* Strong professional investment in the role and the business
* Experience or knowledge of the Construction industry is desirable but not essential

This is a full-time, permanent position.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm
