Internal Sales

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced internal Sales person to join a growing company in a booming market. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team which is looking to grow its business significantly from a positive starting position.

The core activity is the sale of window, door, conservatory and other related products to the trade market within the Windows, Doors & Glazing industry.

Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and working alongside field based sales representatives, your role will be to increase sales revenue from the trade sector by conducting primarily desk based sales activities.

This will be from enquiry to quotation and through to order taking. The role will include working with existing customers as well as new ones, therefore there will be an element of account management (keeping in contact with existing customers) and helping to generate new ones by following up on company marketing activities.

As a part of the role you will be supported by, and support, the field based sales team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond to telephone, email and fax enquires
• Produce detailed quotations using computer based estimating systems, liaising with suppliers to obtain material prices where needed
• Once secured turn quotations into sales orders to ensure products are delivered on time on budget and to their exact requirements for our customers
• Manage customer visits to our showroom and conduct product demonstrations
• Follow-up marketing and sales activities to secure sales opportunities and appointments for the field based Trade Sales team.
• Win telephone based sales enquiries from new and existing customers by diligently following up all enquiries
• Identify opportunities to supply (& fit) our range of products for building & construction projects using tender/project websites
• Manage ad-hoc queries and enquires generated by the customer base
• Work within the team to manage sales orders in terms of accuracy of pricing, product requirements, information and customer communication


The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and will be looking to progress their career in a dynamic environment. Windows, Doors & Glazing industry knowledge is preferred but not essential, but some experience of selling into the building/construction or home improvement sectors will be required of the successful candidate.
Full product training will be given, along with an in-depth induction into the company ethos and its systems and processes.
