Aqua-Tech are working with a leading process engineering company. Due to continued success our client requires a Technical Support Engineer to based within the Instrumentation department at their Grangemouth HQ.

Reporting to the Instrumentation Technical Manager, the applicant will be responsible for assisting with client enquiry specifications with a view to preparing costings and issuing quotation documents.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years experience in water industry engineering or other processes related sectors, preferably within an office environment. Excellent inter-personal and communication skills are vital, as are familiarity with MS Office and AutoCAD.

Specific experience of water industry instruments or associated products would be a distinct advantage but training will be given to the right candidate. A good educational background to at least HND in Electronic/Electrical Engineering would be essential.

Key accountabilities
• To effectively communicate within the Instrumentation department to ensure Framework Managers and/or senior managers are aware of customer enquiry and status of enquiry.
• To provide support both technical and commercial support to clients.
• To produce accurate product costings within set timeframes.
• To prepare quotations for customer requests ensuring that the technical and commercial risks associated with the quoting function are identified and quantified by the correct use of the quotation and approvals systems and complete liaison with internal customers occurs with the objective to maximise profitable order intake.
• To ensure appropriate authorisation sign off levels are met where required.
• To ensure the timely dispatch of quotations and related documentation to customers occurs in required format (i.e. electronically / hard copy etc.).
• To support fellow team members when required.
• To assist the Lead Applications Engineer on larger/complex quotations
