My client are a global manufacturing company who are looking for a purchasing assistant to join their team to support the procurement division this is a great opportunity for an driven individual to join a fantastic company.
The role of the purchasing administrator will be to provide full tactical support to the Supply Chain function, as well as driving through initiative to achieve the departments objectives in line with the divisional and group requirements.
Location - Littlehampton
Salary - £18 -20k
The role of purchasing assistant will be include the following duties -
Tactical Purchasing - to be responsible for managing and acting upon all relevant demands from Parkers processes, i.e. MRP, Kanban etc. for purchased materials components and services. Liaising directly with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply for operations.
Improve DSI and drive towards 'Just In Time' stock control process and utilising companies systems.
Support warehouse functions.
Develop relationships and liaise with internal departments within the Business Unit
Day sales inventory management and control
Maintain actions and functions implemented by Strategic Supply Chain
Liaising with Material Control and Quality Assurance Departments to ensure supplier delivery and performance levels are maintained
The ideal candidate for this role will have -

Organised, methodical approach to delivering consistent results for On time delivery.
Self motivated and logical approach to delivering results.
Be a team player whilst also having the drive and ability to work on their own.
