Job Role: Ground Support Engineer
Location: Edinburgh
Annual Salary: £23,000 basic + Overtime
Shift Rotation: 4 on 4 off Days - 06:00 - 18:00

Ground Support Engineer Job Details:
Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic / Technician required to service and repair equipment such as portable stairs, fuel and food trucks, towing tractors, aircraft tugs, manlifts, APU's and company vehicles.

(GSE) is the support equipment found at an airport, usually on the ramp, the servicing area by the terminal. This equipment is used to service the aircraft between flights. As its name implies, GSE is there to support the operations of aircraft on the ground. The functions that this equipment plays generally involve power operations, aircraft mobility, and loading operations (for both cargo and passengers)

Ground Support Engineer Key Accountability's:

- Repair vehicles and plants as requested by the site Lead Hand
- Complete service and inspection sheets correctly
- Carry out inspections, brake and smoke tests 
- Run all repairs; diagnose 
- Report any defective items immediately to your manager
- Accurately complete and hand in your manual daily time sheet after each day of shift

Ground Support Engineer Knowledge and Skills:

- Motor mechanics
- Self-motivated
- Strong communication skills
- Understanding procedures and systems
- Good organisational skills
- Literate, numerate, analytical
- Customer oriented/service delivery focused
- General knowledge of health and safety regulations
