Superb opportunity to join this full service Film & TV group that is already established in the US as a market leader and employer of choice and is setting up their international operations in the UK.

Reporting to the Finance Director you will play a key role in the set-up and ongoing management of
the accounting function for the UK. This role will be hands on with accounting and reporting and will be the internal expert for UK GAAP presentation of the UK financials. This role will also support the efforts with design and implementation of various reporting tools, accounting system modules as well as system integrations with corporate accounting in the US.

Key Accountabilities:

 Support business unit and corporate colleagues with structuring, analysing and determining
accounting position for complex, significant, and unique transactions
 Provide technical accounting/policy guidance on business unit inquiries and special projects.
 Review and evaluate contracts for significant arrangements and new business terms to identify
potential accounting issues, and address as applicable.
 Research technical accounting issues, document and present matters to Corporate and external
 Assess emerging accounting standards in conjunction with the corporate accounting group and
lead implementation efforts for identified changes.
 Oversee and manage all aspects of general accounting, including review of journal entries and
account reconciliations for the UK segment
 Create, implement and maintain comprehensive worldwide accounting policy documents to
improve clarity and consistency
 Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements
 Perform continuous assessment of the close process and process reengineering to reduce the
timing to close the financial period
 Continually strive to optimize and automate new process to streamline and increase efficiency
within various functions affecting the entire organization
 Communicate and explain accounting issues and evolving accounting guidance to the
management team
 Manage communications with external auditors on external financial statements and accounting
issues to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on accounting disclosures, and
 Coordination of annual audit and review activities with external auditors
 Work closely with the Finance team and assists with preparation of annual budgets and
forecasts and variance analysis

Required Experience:
 Bachelor's degree
 ACA Qualified with substantial relevant post-qualification experience including setting up controls & processes
 Film production and distribution experience a plus
 Proficient understanding of ERP & Systems
 Start-up and or experience if a fast growing SME would be advantageous
 Excellent verbal & written skills
 Proficient knowledge of Excel
 Considerable understanding of basic accounting principles and accounting functions
Hands-on experience working with multiple companies and the ability to handle multiple tasksand deadlines
 Ability to communicate with various levels of management
 Ability to work independent and complete duties and projects with little supervision
