Process & Packaging Project Engineer
Salary circa £40k per annum (dependent on experience)
We have an opportunity for a Process & Packaging Project Engineer to join our lively team at our Accolade Park site in Bristol which employs over 500 people. Our Bristol site houses the largest bottling plant in the Northern Hemisphere bottling up to 1 million bottles of wine per day. We are investing £3 million into our Bristol site and have some exciting and innovative projects underway.

About the role
We are an innovative organisation and our philosophy and vision for excellence in manufacturing is built on a LEAN foundation that is customised specifically for Accolade Wines. You’ll work alongside highly skilled colleagues in manufacturing on innovative assignments.
Reporting to our Head of Engineering you will be required to deliver a wide range of projects providing fit for purpose engineering design, technical advice and control of all aspects of engineering projects.
It’s an exciting time to join us, one of our newest projects involves our diversification into spirits. Your responsibilities will include:
- Proactively operating within our LEAN philosophy ensuring continuous improvements across all areas of the business
- Identifying new mechanical or process improvements to ensure we remain at the forefront of packaging technology
- Directing and coordinating fabrication and installation activities to ensure that products and systems conform to engineering designs and specifications
- Researching and analysing data / specifications of equipment and processes to provide solutions, advice, budget costings and feasibility of capital, maintenance and improvements
- Compliance with all SHEQ policies and procedures
You will be a qualified Engineer with substantial engineering project experience ideally in spirits or a similar beverage industry. You’ll be technically proficient in packaging and processing in addition to fabrication and installation. Your skills will also include technical drawing and engineering design. This varied role also requires you to be analytical, delivery focused and able to work to budgets. You’ll relish the opportunity and challenge this role will provide and the difference your skills and expertise can make to our award winning site.
