An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a motivated, hardworking, graduate to join our Foam Products Team at Torpoint, Cornwall. We will offer you varied and interesting training where you will work closely with the Plant Manager, across a range of disciplines to include Engineering, Quality, Process and Production.

You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and, at the same time, gain invaluable experience of working in our sector. The role is designed to ensure that the first 2 years will be a base on which to learn all areas of the plant with a view to being capable of filling any one of a number of roles. It is anticipated that as the role grows you will begin to take the lead on projects and progress to management. DS Smith is 100% committed to the career development and growth of all their staff.

Key skills:-

  • A degree in Engineering would be preferable, but we will consider relevant design, materials and manufacturing graduates
  • Good organisational and leadership skills
  • A very 'hands on attitude’
  • A logical approach to problem solving
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to learn quickly
