Business Analyst - software, exciting start-up!

£28-35k + flexible working environment + 10% pension + 25 days holiday.

Business Analyst with 18 months+ experience in a software-oriented business analysis role, preferably but not essentially in the accountancy, financial, legal or professional services sectors, required by exciting multi-award winning start-up company based in the heart of Ipswich.

As one of three Business Analysts within the team, you can look forward to a challenging & varied role that will see you acting as the main point of contact for internal & external stakeholders regarding requirements & deliverables. As such, excellent communication skills (both verbal & written) are essential together with strong commercial awareness & a passion for quality/timely delivery. Given the complex nature of the requirements you will be dealing with, an analytical mindset & excellent attention to detail is of key importance as is a willingness, in time, to move towards 'owning' parts of their Cloud software product.

Some of the core responsibilities in the role will include;

  • gathering software requirements for new features & for updates to existing software functions
  • analysing & developing requirements through liaison with users (internal/external) & independent research
  • organising, prioritising & documenting requirements (writing detailed functional specifications)
  • liaising with third party software developers to assess options & resolve areas of uncertainty
  • managing change requests, assessing impacts on existing features & requirements
  • assisting in the definition of testing strategies, test plans & the creation of test cases

The successful candidate can look forward to a really flexible & positive working atmosphere in which employees are truly valued & recognised for the difference they make on a day-to-day basis. In addition to a competitive basic salary, a good degree of autonomy & a flexible working environment, my client offers an excellent benefits package including a 10% employer pension contribution. You can also look forward to exceptional opportunities for personal development & career progression as the company continues to grow.
