Senior Bookkeeper / Company Accountant / Finance Accounts Manager
Our client is a growing company based in Leighswood who is now seeking a senior accounts professional to join them and help them work towards continued success. Their work is based around the construction industry, so experience in this field would be desirable.
Reporting directly to the Directors of the company the key responsibilities of the role are:
·Maintaining and reconciling financial records, preparation of year end reports to P&L and balance sheet level and liaison with external accountants to assist with preparation of statutory accounts
·Providing monthly management reports including cash flow forecasts to management and summarising these reports for monthly staff meetings
·Purchase ledger processing/payment and dealing with supplier queries
·Sales invoicing and dealing with client accounts and queries
·Processing of CIS invoices
·Processing all accounting transactions onto Sage software
·Managing company-wide time sheets and time reporting
·Preparing and processing weekly and monthly payment runs using Sage Payroll, including year-end processing
·Process pensions through Sage, report and pay over.
·Expenses and petty cash processing
·Reconciling bank accounts
·Preparation and filing of quarterly VAT returns
·Producing and maintaining HR records
·Supervision of 1 other admin assistant, assist with ordering etc
·Work with our Bank and external accountant to ensure compliance and accuracy in the company accounts
To be successful in this role you should have experience within similar roles and ideally be a qualified book-keeper or part qualified accountant, however we are able to consider candidates qualified by experience. Experience of using Sage Accounts 50 and Sage Payroll are desirable, knowledge of using Sage Construct would be beneficial, as the company will begin using this programme in June 2017. Training in Construct will be offered to the right candidate
