The Role:
Encore Personnel are seeking a Trainee CAD/CAM Designer/Programmer (Tech Centre Department)
to work for our client in Leighton Buzzard. Our client is a leader in its field with continual investment in research & development, machinery and staff training has enabled them to combine the most advanced production processes with traditional manufacturing methods for optimum processing efficiency.

This position is a temp to perm role with great scope to develop and grow with the company with the company's outstanding training model. Reporting to the Tech Centre Manager, the successful candidate will have a real desire to learn and evolve with the business. This new role predominantly involves the following duties

* Responsible for creation of CAD drawings, using customer drawings or parts supplied.
* Produce machine programs for various machines using Inventor 2010 and Alphacam packages
* First off and process proving of new products to ensure compliance
* Updating, storage and retrieval of drawing information
* Working closely with internal and external clients to optimise interpretation of designs, therefore excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
* The candidate must be able to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing environment working to tight deadlines as set by their Line Manager, communication of any concerns as they arise and ensuring their successful resolution. The site boasts multi-disciplinary catalogue of CNC conversion machinery and processes with which the successful candidate will have to gain familiarity, to understand the issues that may arise when creating designs.

Candidates with minimal experience or someone who has a background interest in machinery and design or alternatively a member of a club who work on design and build will be considered. Alternatively a CNC background and experience and shown interest in the design element and would like to consider transferring from production to design. As a great deal of training and support will be provided.
