VP of Engineering
£75,000 - £90,000 per annum + an employee share scheme, flexible working, Permanent role based in Cwmbran, South Wales

Based in the technical hub of Cwmbran, this is an outstanding opportunity for a VP of Engineering with exceptional people management skills to work at a highly ambitious company who work in the big data space within the exciting and rapidly growing mobile advertising industry. They are currently working with some of the largest network providers around the globe including EE, MTS, Airtel and Verizon and have a number of green field projects within the development pipeline.

The successful candidate will manage the Developers, QA, Sys Ops and Architecture teams within this fast growing organisation where technology is king. Reporting to C Level Execs this person will manage a team of high performing software professionals who are delivering a truly innovative Platform As A Service product. They are seeking candidates who have a strong technical background within development / architecture with proven experience in people management and hiring a rapidly expanding team. They have gone through the initial start-up phase which has seen them grow from zero to 20 in three short years and are now looking for somebody who will have the authority and credibility to push their team in South Wales onto the next level.

This role will ideally suit a strong people manager who's keen to get on board at an organisation that offers a truly market disruptive product. Working within the latest and most cutting edge technologies, big data and within the exciting mobile advertising space, they are seeking technically strong candidates who with strong people management skills.

Essential experience:

*Strong technical experience within Java / C++ technologies
*A solid understanding and experience of development and architecture.
*Expert knowledge of cloud (AWS)
*Proven experience of managing team of 20-30 high performing technical teams
*Experienced in hiring, growing and managing a highly technical savvy team.
*Proven experience in performance, disciplinary and one to one management
*Understanding of Agile development and have will have managed within an agile environment
*Demonstrable experience of owning a development process and managed effectively
*Experience at reporting to board level
