Job Description:
Care Assistant

Care Assistants required for ongoing assignments based in GRAYS/BASILDON- supporting Elderly clients with strong physical disabilities in day care.

Typical duties will involve assisting the residents to bath, get dressed, prepare light meals and undertake social activities. You may also accompany the individuals in the community and attend appointments, or just be there to provide companionship throughout the day.

You should be an effective communicator with a caring approach, and understand the importance of providing support with dignity. You must be willing to work across a rota pattern which may include some weekend and evening work.
You should be physically fit due to the need for safe moving & handling of residents, occasionally using equipment to assist you (e.g. hoists or wheelchairs) and you should therefore have up to date Moving & Handling training. FRCE can assist with training if required.

You will have a good knowledge of safeguarding and adopt a person-centred approach to the care and support you deliver.

If you have a DBS that is registered with the online update service, we can offer you work more quickly!

You will:
* Have at least 6 months experience in the industry
* Hold a valid CRB/ DBS (Conducted in the last 12 months)
* Able to work shifts, morning, evening, nights.
