My client is currently seeking a self-motivated individual to join our internal sales team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a confident, passionate and articulate individual to be directly responsible for their own success and ultimately develop their skill set.
As an Internal Business Development Assistant, you will be tasked with managing your own set of customer accounts both existing and new, as well as being responsible for the growth of our presence online and within Electrical Wholesale. You will need to build relationships with customers on all levels to ultimately achieve financial growth and create brand awareness. A key aspect of this role will also include adhering to monthly/yearly sales targets.

Key Responsibilities - Business Development

* Complete end to end account management of online accounts
* Internal management and development of New Electrical Wholesale Accounts -
* Growing traded account based within Electrical Wholesale and other new account areas through relationship building and effective account management including:

*Cold calling - With some warm leads of an initial 500 lead contact database
*Lead generation
*Conducting training days/breakfast meetings

* Report and provide feedback to management.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of processes.
* General administrative support.

Key Responsibilities - Marketing Assistant

* Implements marketing campaigns in line with company sales plans, forecasts; preparing marketing and advertising strategies, and objectives; planning and organising promotional presentations; customer POS material, updating the company marketing calendars.
* Coordinates new product catalogue design, development and launch along with external design team individual catalogues for both brands.
* Creating and issuing monthly promotional material
* Coordinate packaging design with external design team and/or factories
* Assist Sales Reps with marketing material, promotional material, display boards/Point of Sale
* Coordinating and developing company literature, packaging specifications.
* Maintaining company price files and trade price lists
* Communicating with web team in regards to updating the company web site
* Keeping company showroom display in line with current propositions and lines
* Supports sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, new product information; relaying customer services requests.
* Plans meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists.
* Responsible for new label development along with Sales/Commercial manager

- Competent IT skills and working knowledge of MS Office.
- Attention to Detail - Understands the importance of checks and measures of own workload in order to protect the company's competitive cost position by a 'Right 1st Time' attitude.
- Written and Verbal Communication - Writes clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles.
- Teamwork - encourages employees to work together.

Desirable Attributes:
- Proven track record in an outbound/proactive telesales environment.
- Graduate calibre.
- Business to business background is preferred although not essential.
- Some experience with design platforms and software.
- Knowledge of electrical/lighting market.
