Key Responsibilities

• Define, lead and implement the procurement strategy in line with the Business direction and priorities
• Locate suppliers and negotiate the best price
• Driving continuous improvement throughout the category
• Identify, communicate and deliver stock offers from Sales / Vendors
• Management of Commercial Vendor and Manufacturer Relationships
• Vendor Funding – The development of alternative revenue streams for online
• Effective planning and development of department reporting requirements
• Work closely with the Sales & Purchasing Director to ensure channel sales capacity is maximised
• Develop and establish market entry for new BAU product ranges
• Assessing supplier profiles and analysing offers
• Manage all areas of vendor Terms & Negotiations
• Maintain purchasing database to identify rebates triggers, price triggers & lead times
• Monitor and challenge all counterfeit stock and highlight risks
• Formulate a vendor pack and introduce new vendors on a regular basis
• Ensure procurement forecasts and spend targets are achieved
• Work within the company and legal set guidelines in all areas of business including: pricing, trading terms, budgets, promotions, expenses, planning and all other administrative processes
• Develop good working relationships with Marketing, Product Management, Sales Administration, Customer service, Logistics, Credit Control and Finance
• Preparing and implementing effective negotiation tactics

Personal Specification

• A team player that loves working within a busy trading environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Focused to ensure tasks assigned are completed within desired timescales
• Proactive, willing to learn and sociable who loves internal and external customers
• High levels of industry knowledge
• B2B experience in a technology organisation
• Proven track record in launching new products, services or solutions
• Strong understanding of all Purchasing best practices and principles
• A natural leader who will work on their own initiative and be a team player
• Strong background in purchasing with experience buying from the Far East (desirable)
