Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join a well established and succesful contractor based in the West Midlands.

Industry Experience

A suibtable number of years experience in pre- contracts and estimation works.

Job Knowledge and experience

Working knowledge of the construction and or demolition industry.

Bachelors Degree

Key Objectives

Lead and shape the Pre-Contracts team to deliver the companies strtegic goals, departmental targets, objectives and plans.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Follow, maintain and contribute to ongoing development of Company accreditations, systems and procedures
* Build and manage lead prospect pipeline
* Qualify and nurture leads/prospects
* Maintain and foster existing client relationships
* Proactively communicate with Clients, Customers and Stakeholders
* Review workload requirements with the Contracts Director
* Preparation of responses to Pre-Qualification Questionaires (PQQ's) and Request for Proposals (RFP's) ensuring responsibility for accuracy and completeness of bids
* Ensure reciept logging and saving enquiries from clients
* Initial analysis of drawings and specifications to ensure documentation is complete
* Participate in mid-bid meetings, site visits, kick off meetings and tender interviews
* Co-ordinate deliverables to ensure proper dissemination, resource allocation and adequate timescales to prepare proposals and priced estimates
* Assist in development, cultivation and maintaining key supply chain database
* Co-ordinate sub-contractor enquiries and quotations
* Participate in detailed pricing of projects
* Organise adjudication of high value / risk enquiries with Group Managing Director
* Submit proposals in a timely manner
* Oversee tender negotiations through to award
* Handover secured projects to the contract department
* Review ongoing projects and data to build knowledge and experience
* Preparing quarterly KPI reports and monthly board reports
* Undertake yearly departmental collaborative employee reviews
* Assist in training and guidence to team
* Participate in self-development to achieve goals
