Your new company
You will be working for a well established contractor who are specialists in the care residential market. The business has built a strong reputation through customer satisfaction, successfully delivering over 160 care homes and almost 1600 assisted living apartments. Other developments include retirement living and large care villages.
Your new role
Your new role as a Managing Quantity Surveyor will see you lead and manage a team of quantity surveyors, working on various projects up to the value of £30m throughout South Wales, the South West and South East.
You will be based in Cardiff but spend a good 2-3 days a week out on site, liaising with the construction team regarding time frames, costs and potential risks or changes to the build plan and the financial implications of those changes.
You will report into the Commercial Director, however this is a very senior role so you will very much be in charge of your own diary.
What you'll need to succeed
To fulfil this role you must have significant QS experience, preferably in a senior role as you will be managing people as well as high-value projects, therefore the ability to display strong leadership and people skills will be of great advantage.
You will also be confident, be strong when negotiating and comfortable presenting information to clients, with the ability to build great lasting relationships.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of up to £65000 with a annual car allowance to cover any travel.
