Principal Planner (major applications)

Are you looking for new career move or new change working at a Principal planner level dealing with Major applications?

My client based in North London is currently looking to recruit a Principal DC planner for an initial 3 month with a view to be an ongoing contract dealing with major applications.

The Local Authority is working closely with a sensitive and high profile sites in the area, requires the suitable candidate to deal with major applications and pre appliations negotiations The successful candidate will be allocated as a dedicated planning officer to deal with all planning aspects of the schemes as the development continues to be rolled out. This primarily relates to discharge of conditions, section 96a applications and reserved matters.The candidate would also need to have processed reserved matters for other large schemes and who understands outline planning applications and associated section 106 agreements. You will be expected to negotiate with the developers, deal with reserved matters applications, and the discharge of relevant conditions. Part of this process you should be used to liaising with other departments within the Council, inculding Stake holders and external agencies.
The contract would be for an initial 3 months and will be extend on an ongoing basis.

The rate of the position is up startign rate of £34 per hour and could be higher for the right candidate.
