Graduate Physicist - Materials Testing - Physics - Material Science - Surrey - £16-20k + Benefits

This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Physicist to join a Surrey based organisation that is recognised worldwide as a centre of excellence in materials testing. In the role as a Scientific Test Technician you will be required to conduct testing on materials to provide high quality data reports. You will also be required to offer input to complex work programmes whilst maintain the highest standards of housekeeping particularly with respect to the storage of materials, chemicals, solvents and customer samples.

Graduate Physicist Responsibilities:

* You will be working within a fast paced environment supporting the continuous work flow of the Distribution Testing department.
* Primarily focused on the testing of Magazine Sachet inserts, not only conducting the physical testing, but also writing quotes and reports, and communicating with clients.
* As a crucial member of the team, you will be carrying out multiple routine physical tests and providing quality data on time.
* A smaller part of the role is to assist in the distribution testing of packaged goods and associated services offered within the Distribution Testing Department. For the right person, there is the longer term potential to develop into this role and broader package testing areas.

Graduate Physicist Skills & Qualifications:

* You will need to be a strong team player, have a methodical approach and have the ability to plan, organise and manage your own workload.
* Would ideally have an aptitude towards science and testing and enjoy a mixture of desk and laboratory based work.
* Due to the nature of the work involved, the person must be physically fit, with the ability to lift heavy weights up to 25kg.
* You will ideally have a minimum of good A-Level results in Maths and Science (Physics would be advantageous) or HNC/HND in Science/Engineering related subject.
* You must be computer literate particularly in Excel and Word.
* To be considered you must be local to the Surrey site.
