As Head of Internal Communications you will be leading on developing and implementing an internal communications strategy as an essential component in supporting the organisation in meeting its strategic objectives.

The Head of Internal Communications line manages 3 people and is based in London.

Description

  • To provide leadership in internal communications, developing and delivering complex, internal communications strategies that align with broader communications strategies
  • To ensure that internal communications underpins the overall strategies of both organisations and is responsive to issues raised in regular staff surveys
  • To measure the effectiveness of internal communications messages and channels on an on-going basis and make recommendations to review and amend the strategy as appropriate
  • To contribute to senior level discussions, advising on communications plans, strategy and any communications challenges and issues that may arise
  • To work with the executive team to develop communications campaigns to assist the organisation in meeting its strategic objectives
  • To work with the Human Resources departments to improve staff engagement
  • To provide strategic advice and expertise to enable opportunities for feedback, involvement and contribution to decision making
  • To ensure messages from senior management and the Board are properly reflected in communications to internal stakeholders

Profile

You will have experience managing change within a large complex organisation and be able to come up with some new ideas and different ways of working.

Experience within the NHS would be an advantage.
