Our client is a market leading company who sell high-value capital equipment to automotive/car body and repair shops and have enjoyed enviable growth over the past 8 years of trading in the UK. Due to continued success and to further grow their market share, they are now looking to recruit an experienced field-based sales professional to grow their distributor network in Scotland.

The role;

1) Sell the concept of the products/services to new and potential distributors in Scotland.

2) Carry out product demonstrations at meetings secured by your distributors/partners in order to secure a sale of high-value capital equipment to car body/repair shops.

You will be responsible for building a network of contacts in your given region and ensuring a profitable pipeline of referral business, culminating in product demonstrations and sales by yourself.

Other key responsibilities;

* Manage your territory, visiting distributor prospects and convincing them to promote the company's products to their customer base.
* Providing hands-on training to your distributor/partners' sales personnel, organising events to communicate about the company's products and attending trade shows.
* Carry out product demonstrations to potential customers with a view to securing a sale.
* Weekly planning of travel and customer follow ups with effective account management and ongoing communication with all distributor partners.
* Customer database maintenance.
* Providing regular sales and pipeline reports in line with company objectives in a timely manner.

Skills/experience required;

* An experienced sales professional - experienced in field sales and working under your own initiative
* Experienced in technical product sales of capital equipment is preferred. Able to demonstrate a technical product.
* Welding experience and working knowledge of car body maintenance preferred.
* Excellent customer service skills, organised and able to plan effectively.
* Able to deliver training and presentations.
* General MS Office skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook).
